英语语法讲解：名词作定语的用法
1. 通常用单数名词作定语
cotton goods棉织品 inquiry office问事处
history teacher 历史老师 paper factory 纸厂
telephone number 电话号码 test paper考卷
weather forecast天气预报 welcome speech欢迎辞
All difficulties are also paper tigers. 一切困难也都是纸老虎。
He is one of the most successful newspaper writers in the city. 他是市里最成功的记者之一。
【说明】“数词+名词”作定语时，其中的名词也要用单数形式。如：
He has an 11-year-old daughter. 他有一个11岁的女儿。
I was told to write a 5000-word article in an hour. 要我在1小时内写一篇5000字的文章。
2. 有时用复数名词作定语
(1) man, woman用于名词前作定语时，其单复数形式与所修饰的名词的单复数形式一致。如 a woman writer / some women writers(女作家)。
注意：用man 和 woman 不同，boy 和 girl用作定语时，总是用单数。如 boy (girl) friends 男(女)朋友。
(2) 有些名词只有复数形式，没有单数形式，或者用于某一意义时，习惯上要用复数形式，此时它们用作定语显然只能用复数。如goods train(货车)，customs officer(海关人员)，clothes line(凉衣绳)，sales plan(销售计划)，等。
(3) 名词作定语与名词所有格作定语的比较：名词作定语主要表示被修饰名词的特征、性别、用途、功能、内容等，而名词所有格作定语则主要表示事物间的关系(如所属关系，主谓关系，动宾关系等)。
英语语法讲解：become的用法
become用作连系动词，意为“成为”，其后可接：
1. 名词
They became great friends. 他们成了莫逆之交。
He aims to become a computer expert. 他打算当一名电脑专家。
She has become a painter of distinction. 她成了一名杰出的画家。
2. 形容词
She became very fond of her. 她变得非常喜欢她了。
He soon became angry. 他过了一会儿就生气了。
She has become familiar with the house. 她对这房子已变得很熟悉。
I’ve become used to a vegetarian diet. 我已习惯于素食。
3. 过去分词
They had just become engaged. 他们刚刚订婚。
At last the truth became known to us. 我们终于知道了真相。
The room soon became crowded. 房间很快变得拥挤起来。
Jamie was becoming annoyed with me. 杰米变得对我不高兴起来。
其后一般不接不定式
他开始对生物感兴趣了。
误：He became to be interested in biology.
正：He became interested in biology.
于是我们开始喜欢他了。
误：Then we became to like him.
正：Then we began [came] to like him.
英语语法讲解：名词的数
1、名词分为可数名词和不可数名词。
可数名词——可以数的名词
不可数名词——数不清(没有复数)
drink?milk tea water orange juice coke coffee porridge
food?rice bread meat fish fruit cake dumplings
2、可数名词与不定冠词a(an)连用有数数形式，不可数名词不能与不定冠词a(an)连用，没有复数形式。
many+可数名词复数
much/a little+不可数名词
some, any , a lot of (lots of) 两者都可以修饰。
3、可数名词可以直接用数词来修饰。
不可数名词 数词 +量词 +of + 名词
对可数名词的数量提问用how many
对不可数名词的数量提问用 how much
