英语中有许多表示人或物所处位置的短语。它们常常有固定的介词搭配。例如：
on the left/right side.在左/右边。
At the back/front of the classroom.在教室的后/前面。
In the back/front row.在后/前排。

In the middle of the classroom.在教室的中间。

叫一学生离开教室,由另一学生把一件东西(文具之类)藏起来,然后把学生叫回来并问他“Where is my(her,Jim's) ruler?”猜的学生只能用on,in,under,near 等介词来提问,
如：“Is it in your(his) pocket?”“Is it under the book?”等。全班学生用“Yes.”或“No.”回答。猜的次数最少就而且猜对的就是优胜者。
听指令做动作
这个游戏可训练学生听祈使句并快速反应的能力。教师可快速说出一些祈使句, 如：Touch your head(eye,ear,nose ...).Put up your hands. Close your eyes. 等,学生听到后便做这一动作。最快最准的获胜。可以用来发出指令的词句还有：Touch your book(your pen,the desk ...)。Open the door(your book ...)。Hold your book(pen, pencil ...)。Wash your face(hands,teeth ...)等。这个游戏也可以用竞赛的形式进行，将全班分成若干小组,每组抽一名学生,一起到前面做动作,做错了就被淘汰,最后剩下的一人(或两人)为优胜。给该组(或该两组)记10分。然后各组再抽另一名学生上前继续进行。
