　　A：I just saw 'Something About Mary' last night. It was hilarious.

　　B：David took me to it last week. I thought it was a little sick.

　　A：What do you mean 'sick'? It was really funny, don't you think?

　　B：It was entertaining in some ways. But in general I didn't like it.

　　A：Why not?

　　B：I just think the humor was too gross. There were too many disgusting things in it. I don't think a comedy has to have so much smut to be funny.

　　A：It wasn't a dirty movie. There wasn't even any nudity.

　　B：No, you're right. But nudity doesn't bother me. What bothered me were all the jokes about masturbation, stuff like that. It was too sick.

　　A：Oh, you are too conservative. It's just realistic.

　　B：I don't think it's realistic. I thought it was sick. Why does a movie have to use that kind of humor?

　　A：People think it's funny.

　　B：But it was the most disgusting comedy I've ever seen. And it was a big budget movie too. It wasn't just a low-budget film you can see on cable TV.

　　A：I told you, you are conservative.

　　B：I'm not really conservative. But some new movies are just vulgar. If they become popular, it proves that people are vulgar.

　　A：I'm really surprised at this. I didn't think you were like this.

　　B：I'm not what you think, A. Did you see the movie 'Everyone's Nightlife'?

　　A：Yes. I think it's good.

　　B：That was a movie about sex too.

　　A：I agree. But what do you think of that one?

　　B：I thought it was excellent.

　　A：Yes, I suppose.

　　B：So maybe you can see now that I'm not conservative. But I have a sense of value. 'Something About Mary' depends on gross humor. But 'Everyone's Nightlife' depends on drama. They are both about sex, but they are different.

　　A：I'd love to continue this conversation, but I really need to go now. I have to get back to the office.

　　B：Well, let's get together soon.

　　A：Okay. Would you like to have lunch some day next week?

　　B：Sure. How about Monday?

　　A：Hmm. I'm afraid I can't make it on Monday. I've got to fly to Chicago on business.

　　B：Well unfortunately, I'm tied up on Tuesday. I'm supposed to have lunch with an important visitor from out of town, and I don't think there's any way I can get out of it. Are you free on Wednesday?

　　A：Wednesday? Let me see. Hmm. Somehow I think I've already got something scheduled for Wednesday. Oh, yes!I've got an appointment with my dentist to have my teeth cleaned, and it's essential that I keep it.

　　B：Well, I'm afraid Thursday is out for me. I'm expected to attend a meeting of our personnel committee, and it's very important for me to be there.

　　A：So that leaves Friday. I don't have any obligations or commitments on Friday . How about you?

　　B：Friday sounds good. Where should we meet?

　　A：You know, I really must be going now or I'll be very late. Can you give me a call tomorrow an we'll decide?

　　B：Fine. Speak to you then.

　　A：Sorry I have to rush off like this.

　　B：That's okay. I understand.

　　A：Good-bye.

　　B：So long.
